About Orthodoxy &
Holy Resurrection in Gillette, WY
Holy Resurrection Church
Located in downtown Gillette, Wyoming, Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church is a small but growing parish in the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese, within the Diocese of Wichita. Our community gathers for Divine Liturgy when our priest is in town, and for Typika Reader services, times of prayer, Scripture, and fellowship, on other Sundays.
Our home is the oldest church building in Wyoming still in active use, a beautiful and historic space that has served generations of Christians and now continues as a place of living Orthodox worship.
If you have longed for a deeper experience of the Christian faith, one rooted in the unchanged teaching of the Apostles and nourished by the Holy Spirit, we invite you to come and see.
THE ORTHODOX CHURCH
The Orthodox Church was founded by our Lord Jesus Christ and is the living manifestation of His presence in the history of the mankind. The most conspicuous characteristics of Orthodoxy are its rich liturgical life and its faithfulness to the apostolic tradition. It is believed by Orthodox Christians that their Church has preserved the tradition and continuity of the ancient Church in its fullness compared to other Christian denominations which have departed from the common tradition of the Church of the first 10 centuries.
Our Visiting Priest
We are blessed to have Father Joseph as our priest. He also serves the parish in Rapid City so he comes to us once a month. Check our website’s homepage or the parish Facebook page to know when Fr. Joseph will be in town.
